The Financial Alliance for Racial Equity is looking to connect with students from HBCUs who want to get a head start in landing an internship in the financial services industry.
The goal of the event is to broaden awareness of FARE’s mission to increase diversity, equity and inclusion in the financial services industry and the communities it serves. This will also be a forum to attract students into roles available at FARE member firms. FARE seeks to improve the diversity in the financial services industry and understands the importance of representation at all levels in an organization. By hosting financial service recruiting events for HBCU students, FARE hopes to encourage students to pursue career opportunities in the finance industry.
HBCU Students and recent graduates interested in financial service career opportunities. Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, and Business majors welcome!
HBCU Faculty and Staff Members are also welcome to join!
Attendees will receive a welcome package from the sponsoring firms, including a $25 gift card for a food delivery service.

Is there a fee for attending the event?
No. All of the recruitment related events hosted by HBCU CONNECT have associated sponsors. These sponsors put up funds to handle paying for the venue, food and drinks for attendees.
Attendees are expected to register such that we can make sure you are a fit for the career opportunities available, and to put forth the commitment to join us on the specified date.
How do I get the location details for the event?
Once your resume is reviewed and you are deemed a fit for the event, we will email you all location and other pertinent details for attending the event. Just keep an eye on your email and make sure our emails are not going to your spam folder!
Will there be interviews during or after the event?
At this particular event, our goal is to introduce you to the hiring organization, such that you can learn more about what they do and the types of roles they typically hire talent for. While we do not have a specific interview day after this event, the HR team will receive your resume, and follow up with you after the event if there are immediate opportunities to interview!
