Job Description

Under general supervision, coordinates the space management and facilities functions related to the Enterprise Technology (ET). These functions include but are not limited to coordination of space assignments, planning remodels, maintaining ET vehicles and capital assets.; maintaining facilities information databases; preparing reports on space usage and efficacy as needed, assigning space for employees; coordinating building maintenance; and other functions as designated by unit administrator.

Salary Range

$46,304 - $50,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties

Coordinate office moves, facilities requests, vehicle requests, and signage.
Maintain detailed databases with appropriate software for room assignments, key information, issued codes, and card activations.
Assist with the ASU Space Survey and complete the annual space audit.
Facilitate surplus transfers and input assets into Assetworks.
Maintain inventory for office and space supplies.
Act as liaison with facilities and put in purchase requests when necessary.
Respond and follow through on staff requests in a timely manner.
Conduct a variety of on-boarding/off-boarding tasks to prepare for the arrival/departure of student workers and staff.
Process requests for keys and liaison for issues with keys and locks.
Assemble furniture for Enterprise Technology spaces.
Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of student employees as needed.
Assist in maintaining carts and vehicles.
Act as secondary for maintaining capital assets within the department.
Maintain a clean driving record for frequent intercampus travel.
Communicate space policies and ensure alignment across all campuses.
Assist with additional space related projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Planning, or related field AND three (3) years of construction or Planning experience; OR, Seven (7) years of progressively responsible construction or Planning experience, OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in planning, design, construction and data related to space and facilities operations.
Experience with Autocad, Bluebeam, Sketchup and other design tools.
Experience with Microsoft Excel.
Experience in performing small maintenance tasks such as assembling office furniture.
Experience in work that requires attention to detail.
Evidence of effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to model empathy, compassion and emotional intelligence.
Experience hiring in a values-led organization, emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
Ability to help foster a safe psychological space for all teammates where everyone can thrive.

Working Environment

Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Ability to clearly communicate.
Document work progress and maintain related reporting resources.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, may include/subject to resolution of conflicts.
Use of software/computer equipment for extended periods of time.
Use an ASU or personal vehicle to travel to different campuses. Requires valid U.S. driver's license.
Ability to lift and transport 50-100 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50-100 pounds.
May be required to work in an outdoor environment exposed to the elements while transporting equipment.
