Job Description
Membership Coordinator
The Lowe Art Museum is looking for a Membership Coordinator to work with the Lowe Director and University Advancement to set clear Membership goals and then works to meet them through independent action, including (but not limited to) Membership recruitment drives.

● Works with Lowe Director and University Advancement to create a unified “vision” for all

Membership materials, including (but not limited to) marketing and solicitation materials
● Coordinates design and production of all Membership materials with Lowe Communications Specialist
● Identifies new Membership markets through independent research
● Solicits new Members through the development and use of direct mail/e-marketing
● Identifies development opportunities for the museum through independent research, including (but not limited to) Corporate Memberships/sponsorships
● Works with the Events Plan ner to develop, promote, and implement Membership events
● Solicits lapsed Members on an on-going basis
● Liaises directly with upper-level Members of the Lowe to ensure that all of their Lowe-related needs and expectations are met
● Ensures that all information in museum Membership database (Raiser’s Edge) is up-to-date at all times
● Handles all administrative aspects of the Lowe’s Membership program, including (but not limited to) invoicing, payment processing, Membership acknowledgements, Membership benefits (which vary greatly depending on Membership level), fielding inquiries from Members, trouble-shooting, and independent problem solving
● Coordinates and implements all Membership mailings
● Responsible for all aspects of twice-yearly general fundraising drive on behalf of the Lowe, from solicitation letters to gift acknowledgment
● Produces quarterly Membership reports fo r Lowe Director and University Advancement, including strategic analysis and proposed next steps
● Produces quarterly Membership revenue reports for Lowe Director and Office Manager, including strategic analysis and proposed next steps
● Supervises subordinate staff, including student workers, interns, and/or volunteers for Membership-related events

Qualifications include:
● Strong organizational skills
● Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
● Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
● Computer literary (including expertise in Word, Excel, and Raiser’s Edge)
● Ability to work well with people and provide superior customer service
● Proven capacity for discretion
● BA required
● Minimum of 2 years direct/relevant experience required/ 3-5 years strongly preferred
● Must be available to w ork select evenings and weekends
