Pediatric Inpatient Oncology Staff Physician
Oncology Staff Physician Opportunity

Cincinnati Children’s Division of Oncology is seeking a pediatric Hematology/Oncology trained physician to join its growing team of oncology staff physicians.

The staff physicians support the oncology faculty to provide outstanding care to pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancer patients. In addition to the challenging and dynamic clinical experience, oncology staff physicians have opportunities to participate in quality improvement, clinical guideline development and implementation, resident and medical student education, and clinical research.

There are also opportunities for academic growth as well.

Clinical duties will include performing procedures, specifically lumbar punctures, skin biopsies, and bone marrow aspirates and biopsies.  They will also help manage referrals and see patients in clinic and day hospital, although it is not anticipated that they will have their own patient cohort at this time.

Additionally, there are night shifts managing patient/family and referring hospital calls and you will also be supervising on-call residents and overnight hospitalists who are managing the inpatient service. This night call is anticipated to be largely from home, but there is potential to come on-site, such as for a new diagnosis.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should be board-eligible/certified in pediatric hematology oncology.


Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine equivalent

Unrestricted licensed physician Obtaining an Ohio Medical License is required.

Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division

Applicants should be board eligible/certified in pediatric hematology oncology. Training is provided. Obtaining an Ohio Medical License is required.
