About the Job
Lead Associate Work Experience (AWE) Program Manager handles the development, organization, and evolution of PetSmart Associate Experience programs and ensures the delivery of an impactful work experience across multiple associate segments. This person helps to identify gaps and solutions within the associate experience program, and supports the Sr. Director, AWE with implementing strategies that create and sustain a positive associate experience. This position is familiar with labor and positive associate relations, and helps the organization prevent and respond to the root cause concerns that detract from a positive workplace environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, advise, implement, and manage associate experience programs with a lens to amplify the moments that matter throughout the associate journey.
Partner to support effective associate listening and response interventions to ensure solutions are grounded in the voice of the associate.
Consult with field/DC leaders, Associate Relations and HR Business Partners on sensitive issues that detract from achieving a positive work environment; provides guidance and recommendations for resolution of issues.
Manages the portfolio of ongoing positive associate work experience actions, assessment and preparedness, continually conducting gap analysis and creating a prioritized roadmap of future efforts.
Partner to develop relevant metrics that measure the success and business impact of associate experience initiatives.
Implement educational strategies to regularly train leaders on effective leadership practices, labor law compliance and third-party representation awareness.
Designs and facilitates Positive Associate Relations training.
Facilitates the positive associate relations Incident Response Team (IRT) program, including ensuring the team is comprised of right leaders across the enterprise; designs and implements IRT program guidelines, operational response plans, and communication avenues.
Maintains current knowledge of associate and labor relations trends, legal decisions, and statutory changes; synthesizes impact to current programs or policies.
Maintains trusted partnerships with store, DC, and offices HR and business leaders.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Working knowledge of human resources and labor relations principles, practices, and procedures.
Ability to compile, research, and analyze complex information, and present findings in a compelling and digestible format for all levels in the organization.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field.
At least 5-7 years of related experience in Human Resources, labor relations, or associate engagement.
SHRM-SCP and PMP a plus.
Combination of relevant experience and education permissible.
